In response to the current regulations from the Scottish Government, we are unable to accept visitors from tier 3 and 4 areas in Scotland or from England. However, from the 23rd - 27th of December, in accordance with government guidelines, we will be open to all tiers within the UK. For the New Year, we will only be able to accept bookings for a minimum of 4 nights from tier 1 and 2 areas.

People from more than one household (or extended household) in tier 1 or 2 must not stay in self-catering accommodation together while the current restrictions on indoor private gatherings are in place. This includes accommodation such as glamping pods and safari tents. For more information, go to: https://www.assc.co.uk/self-catering-restrictions-2/

If you haven’t already been to Highfield, we are a small site in a rural area, 10 miles from Oban. Social distancing is well practised here in local shops and supermarkets, and locals welcome visitors as long as they are respectful of government advice on Covid-19. To ensure the safety of everyone here, we have reduced the number of pitches from 50 to 40 and are no longer taking tents or group bookings. To further protect our guests and staff, our reception office will remain closed and we have introduced a self-check in system. The toilet and shower block, however, is open with one-way entry-exit and strict cleaning procedures. If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, please do not under any circumstances come to Highfield. We kindly ask all guests on the park to respect social distancing.

Our pods and tents are deep cleaned with a fogging machine, which ensures that all surfaces that previous guests may have come into contact with (including light switches, plugs, door handles, all kitchenware and equipment, and hot tub lid) are thoroughly disinfected. Our cleaners wear masks, protective overalls, and gloves and use disposable cloths to clean each unit. BISHTA (British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association) has confirmed that it is safe to use the hot tub, however, you should only use it with members from your own household. Hot tub water is tested twice a day and changed between guests.

We would like to reassure you that we are following every guideline set out by the BH&HPA (British Holiday & Home Park Association) and Scottish government as the safety of our guests and staff is paramount. Looking forward to sharing our special corner of the West Coast of Scotland with you very soon!

All the best,

The Highfield Team
