We stayed in the Argyll Luxury Glamping Pod for 4 nights in June 2019 and it was amazing. The pod is one of the best we’ve ever stayed in and it’s ;ocated at the back of the site overlooking tranquil woods and a large pond. The pod itself was luxury and had everything you could wish for – it was tastefully decorated, spacious, had WiFi, and a TV. The kitchen was fine for a long stay, and there was a comfy bed, brill shower and an amazing outdoor space with hot tub, BBQ and firepit. It really was fab and having some fantastic weather made it even more enjoyable sitting out every night.
The site itself is lovely – friendly staff, not too overcrowded in the camping field and a whole host of other glamping options to stay in, and only a 10-minute walk to the fantastic Tralee beach/bay and yummy chip shop. The lovely village of Benderloch is only a short walk away too and includes a grocery store and cafe and is the start of Beinn Lora walk to the summit, which is brilliant if you like decent hike up. The lovely town of Oban is a 20-minute drive away. A walk up McCaigs Tower is a must and there is lots to do in the surrounding areas for all tastes. We did boat trip from Port Appin to Lismore to explore the Island which was ace and also visited stalker castle cafe for great views and coffee and also and even managed to climb Ben Nevis. All in all we had a fantastic stay at Highfield and would highly recommend it!! Jason & Carla Hull, UK
